I would like to thank Staci Lys, Madhavi Singh and Rashi for nominating me for the 3 Day Quote challenge.
For Day 2, I’ve chosen the topic “Faith”.
We cannot truly hope without having faith. Faith is the strongest force our mind wields, and it can conquer even the impossible. Thus I would like to share with you all, a few of my favourite quotes on faith.
“None of us knows what might happen even the next minute, yet still we go forward. Because we trust. Because we have Faith.”
― Paulo Coelho
“You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith and hope.”
― Thomas Merton
“I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you’re going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.”
― C. JoyBell C.
Here a few quotes on faith in God, which I want to share with those of you who believe in a higher power like me.
“All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
“The function of prayer is not to influence God, but rather to change the nature of the one who prays.”
― Søren Kierkegaard
Just like hope; I believe faith in humanity and in people is also equally important. This quote is actually one of my favourite dialogues from the movie, X-Men : Days of Future Past.
Just because someone stumbles and loses their way, it doesn’t mean they’re lost forever.
– Professor Charles Xavier
Before I end this post, I would like to share a few lines I’ve always found to be very moving, each time I’ve read them.
“I said to my soul, be still and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, for love would be love of the wrong thing; there is yet faith, but the faith and the love are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought: So the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing.”
― T.S. Eliot
I hope you’ve all enjoyed reading the second part of my three day quote challenge. You will find the first part here.

Thank you Akhila, and our very belief of hope is itself based on faith! So you already have faith, think about it 😉

Advaita, wonderful post. You have really outdone yourself with it. I haven’t read day 1 yet. I must check that out soon.
I have to say that I absolutely love how you’ve ended this post. A T.S. Eliot quote, especially this one, is definitely the way to end with a bang. I’ve used it myself in a post before. If you would like to read it, you can do so here:
