With every single bloody tear she shed,

In place of love, sorrow she bred,

With a broken heart inside she bled,

She wept and wept, till all her pain fled,

Dreams became better, and free from dread,

Slowly the chaos cleared in her head,

They all did see, all those who thought she was dead,

That she sailed out of the storm, and came out ahead,

She may have lost her love in the ocean,

But in the end, she found herself instead.

― Advaita Inamdar

There are times when we all feel lost in life. It’s hard to describe how one feels, but it’s quite a difficult place to be in. I’m sure everyone feels that way at some point in their lives and it’s not really an experience most people want to discuss either. We feel afraid to disclose our feeling of being “lost” because we might be ridiculed or worse, we might be misunderstood. But the truth is everyone has actually felt the same way! It’s a question we all ask ourselves many times over a lifetime.

“Am I lost or just less found?”
― C.S. Lewis

“All cannot be lost when there is still so much being found”
― Lemony Snicket

The above two quotes are in perfect harmony, and describe quite accurately the questions we should be asking ourselves. In life, I believe we are continually in the pursuit of answers to different questions. And we surely find our answers, if we look in the right place. So, when there are so many questions we are yet to find answers to, how can anyone be lost? When we feel lost, we merely doubt our abilities to find the answers. And when we realize that all the answers are actually within us, we stop worrying about being lost, the future and all the other ridiculous worries we burden ourselves with in our thoughts. Take love for instance, we complicate it so much, that we end up ruining our relationships over the most trivial matters. Therefore, I am going to end this post with two quotes that I think give quite a simple solution to our problems of over thinking and the complicated approach we tend to take in our lives.

“Love one another, but make not a bond of love:

Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.”

― Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet

“Doing as others told me, I was Blind.

Coming when others called me, I was Lost.

Then I left everyone, myself as well.

Then I found Everyone, Myself as well.”

― Rumi

Hope everyone had a great weekend, and as always I am happy to hear your thoughts on my post and if you would like to add anything that I might have overlooked then write it below. Wish you all a happy week ahead!

― Cheers, Advaita. 🙂
