Elysian Eyes
Her Elysian eyes are mesmerizing;
Eyes that once you look into, there is no going back,
Her eyes are deeper than the ocean;
Even those who can swim, would happily drown in them,
Her eyes are like a dream;
Even those who want to wake up, will prefer to sleep forever,
Her eyes are like deep space;
You would want to explore the infinite stars, which reside in them,
Her eyes possess the power;
To make you lose yourself once you look into them,
And there is no way of coming back to reality, without a little stardust in your heart.
– Advaita Inamdar
One of the most enchanting features of a woman is her eyes. And this poem is my humble effort to express through my poetry, the kind of effect a woman can have through her eyes alone.
Eyes are like windows to the soul and a woman’s eyes can be captivating, stellar, ethereal, empyreal, celestial even ! And I believe that a woman is capable of expressing so much through her eyes, if only most men could read and understand their language.
There is so much one can write about women, not just their eyes but also about the unique ability they possess to experience and express emotions in their purest form. But to keep this post short, I am going to end this post with a quote from the bard himself, because there are few who could write with such charm in the English language as he could.
“From women’s eyes this doctrine I derive:
They sparkle still the right Promethean fire;
They are the books, the arts, the academes,
That show, contain and nourish all the world.”– William Shakespeare
Did you like my post ? What are your thoughts ? I would love to hear your views and thoughts related to this post, I look forward to reading them ! – Cheers, Advaita 🙂
Edit : If you liked my poem, please read this beautiful poem “Eyes” written by Poetikmind, as a response to my poem, it is wonderful and I am truly honoured.

This is so well written Advaita! I agree that eyes tell so much. They draw you in. You can enter a person’s world especially a woman’s through her eyes. Eyes are definitely the best feature of a woman. I love how precisely you were able to describe them.

I liked Casino Royale. Only because it was the most believable James Bond movie ever. He got hit, bruises and was not perfect. That is how it would be in reality. Otherwise its all like white collar. Visually very appealing but don’t use your logic. As for the makers going to himalayas, I think most girls watching white collar did take sanyas after finding out Matt Bomer was gay 😛😂😂😂

Dear Miss Blackadder, I am glad you loved, loved, loved it! 😊
Never did write because it was my profession,
It was always a means for pure expression,
There are so many responsible for my inspiration,
But my dear eyes like yours are the true motivation,
You find clarity in the writing of my literary exploration,
Because I write not for purposes of economic exploitation,
Neither do write to make on someone a lasting impression,
It is all about the truth and the need to pen down my emotion!
Just wrote this one for you. Now you now why I’ve called it “an extemporized blog” 😉

Hmmmmm, now how do I answer that. I am a missionary with an organization called, “YWAM”. Currently, I am homeschooling my son, who has Asperger’s Syndrome. Unfortunately, the school system here didn’t work out for him AT ALL. I spend my mornings with him, and in the afternoons I blog, invest in my interests such as drawing and painting, and a little photography. I take an oil painting class on Tuesday afternoons and a photography class on Thursday nights. My husband is a filmmaker, and he travels quite a bit. Anyhow, that’s my little simple life, and I love it. I live in a community situation, and always have opportunity for relationship and seeing people. I firmly believe that we, humans were made for relationship. That we need community. Maybe that’s why blogging is such a great thing for people now in a post-modern world. So much individualism and all… We need that connection, right?
Have a wonderful evening and weekend Rob. I’ll be over a bit later to see if you’ve posted today, my new friend 😉

More demands on my multitasking: looking through http://www.ywam.org whist thinking about what to say to you whilst listening to someone talking about daemons and geniuses (geni?). It’s a stretch, but I’m getting there.
I’ve come to the tentative conclusion that you are far from simple (or that your life is far from simple), Staci. It seems that if you can deal with all that you have on your plate and still come up as the smiley, positive person that comes through in your words, then you are quite a wonder!
Whee – that sounds nice – fairies following me around!
I have a sneaking suspicion that I am somewhere on the autistic spectrum (but way off on the fringes). I can totally identify with the ways and means of people who have this and other labels attached to them. I must have read about a dozen books on Asperger’s Syndrome last year including one very thick and meaty 500 page book which is considered to be the definitive text book of the field. I reckon that we’re all amazing creatures – some lit from within and some lit from below, but all of us lit by God. And yeah – that bit came from the Ted Talk that is still talking to me through all my thoughts.
If it’s appropriate – tell you son hi and tell him I love him and the entire field of how he is.
I’m going to go now before I trespass on too many of your toes.
Ole to you, Staci for all your love and friendship. 🙂

Ohhhh, you lucky dog. You have fairies following you?…
Oh, believe me, I am quite simple. Hahaha.
Oh wow, you too? @I have a sneaking suspicion that I am somewhere on the autistic spectrum. My husband swears I am. When we got the diagnosis for our son, he spend most of the night researching it. When I woke up in the morning, he was sitting on the floor in the living room with his laptop. He looked at me and said, “I really think he does have it. Actually, I think you have it.” Hahahaha. Sometimes when I have a moment, he calls me Sheldon (you know, from Big Bang Theory).
Awwwww, yes I will tell him. And no stepping on my toes ok. (haha 🙂 jk) I just got off of crutches because I chipped a bone a couple of months ago. Seriously. I was on crutches and in a boot for three weeks. Ugh.
Hope you’re having a great Monday.

I SINCERELY HOPE that fairies are following me, and if there are any spare ones around listening to my thoughts – you are most welcome to follow me! 🙂
Ouch – that sounds like a painful thing to do. I know that it’s not good for someone who likes chocolate to be immobile for too long!
I LOVE Big Bang Theory! Sheldon is awesome and I can totally imagine you having a ‘moment’ now. 😀
How old is your son?
You may be simple, but you are a very talented lady with so much love to give. It’s easy to see that from even the short time we have been ‘talking’.
Monday was great for me – hope Tuesday is going well for you, Staci. 🙂

Yes, I banged it on a dumbbell, believe it or not. I went down to the court here where I live to go for a run. It was almost dark and I hadn’t noticed that some other people had set up some weights to do some circuit training. I banged my foot right into it and then toppled over it. I’ve got about 85% of movement back and am working out again, and even running. I just can’t twist it certain ways though.
ME TOO!!! Big Bang Theory is the best. There’s not too much I enjoy on TV, but Big Bang Theory is one of the ones I do enjoy. 🙂
My son is 9 1/2. I also have a daughter that’s 6 1/2. I always like to say this (even though it may sound weird), but my son was ‘Made in Afghanistan’. Hahaha. I still need to get a shirt made up for him saying that. Hahaha.
Awwwwwww, thank you so much Rob. I am trying. There is sooooo much I want to do that I end up doing a bit of each, and not turning into an expert in anything. But at least I give it my all. 🙂 🙂
Tuesdays are always very busy. Homeschooling in the morning, then ballet for my daughter and I do my painting class. Then I join a group here at our base for about an hour of circuit training.

If I understand correctly the meaning of ‘Made in Afghanistan’ I would advise you not to have a t-shirt made up with that printed on it! 😀
Any son would freak out at advertising such a thought on his body. Actually, maybe he is young enough to stand it at the moment, but not when he hits puberty and things like that start to get really embarrassing for his.
What you should have done was have it tattooed on his backside when he was a baby – like a label on a piece of clothing – small, out of sight and inconspicuous. Then it would have been a real talking point for him when he grew up and … well, you know.
Maybe I’m crossing lines here, but believe me – guys find that sort of thing to be hilarious! 🙂 I can’t stop grinning now.
Yeah – going running in the (almost) dark – for sure not the best move! I’m glad that you’re healing now and I’m pretty sure that it’ll be an amusing anecdote before too long (rather than the painful anecdote it is now).
Which other TV shows do you enjoy? I’m struggling to find stuff that’s worthwhile and that is … that has some kind of value based message, if you know what I mean. There’s a lot of stuff about these days that glorifies all sorts of … negativity. I’m not sure I want to fill my mind with rubbish just for the sake of entertainment.
It’s so good that you have the opportunity to have such a full life. It might seem to you that it has ties and limitations, but what a beautiful environment and company to be tied to! Keep living life to the full, Staci – it’s all good. 🙂

Hahahahahahahahaha. That’s hilarious. Literally was chuckling this morning while reading this. Nope. You’re not crossing lines.
Hmmmmm, other tv show? Not many to tell you the truth. I just found one recently that I started to like, ‘Chicago Med’. I guess because I was such a ‘House’ fan (still am). Although, I loved House for different reasons. I also like (ok, don’t laugh at me) ‘The Property Brothers’. It come on here on Thursday nights, and I actually get excited about it during the day. Hahaha. I get home from my photography course after 10 pm and want it on right away so I don’t miss it. Hahaha.
If I can think of any other show, I’ll let you know.

Glad you have a great sense of humour, Staci. 🙂
Thanks also for the shows – I now have 3 to look for: ‘Chicago Med’, ‘House’ and ‘The Property Brothers’. I’ve only ever heard of ‘House’ (basically because the lead is a Brit) but I’ll reserve my laughter for when I see the third of your picks. 🙂 But hey -there’s nothing better than a dose of what you like to keep you going – right? 😉

I love House. I think I’ve seen almost every episode. I just have difficulty watching the episodes that involve young children or babies that are in the hospital for some undiagnosed reason.
The Property Brothers is a reality show. They help a couple or family or person buy a house that needs fixing up, and then they fix it up. They’re twins. One is a real estate agent. The other one is the handy man guy.
Anyhow, yes I agree. It’s good to have things that we enjoy to keep us going.
Have a great week Rob.

Ah. Reality shows. Hmm. Not my cup of tea at all really. I think that I would enjoy House though.
For sure I’ll enjoy my week. You too, Staci. 🙂

Yea, there are a ton of them, aren’t there. I don’t know why really, but I really like that one specific one. Maybe it has to do with the lack of choice on TV.

There’s a ton of junk. I’d rather watch a Ted Talk or something on Netflix. Hahaha.

oh yes, I’m a fan of Amazon too. Mostly because I can get English books electronically for much cheaper than I would get them for here. And the books I like to read I would not be able to find here in English anyhow.

Amazon Prime is something you pay £70 a year for and, much like Netflix, you get to stream movies and TV shows. You also get to stream an enormous array of music too. Plus you get free next day delivery (which totally works) so it’s a good little package really.
This way, I get to choose my own rubbish to watch rather than what they choose to foist off on me via TV. 🙂

Really? I had no idea you could stream programs and movie on Amazon. I thought Amazon Prime was just sort of like a library, where you could take out as many book a year for one price. And then also get discounts on things. Shows you how much I know. Haha.

Amazon has grown to be HUGE! They have their fingers in so many different pies by now. And they’re even making their own TV shows now – or funding them anyway. 🙂

Amazing, Addy. Beautiful poem, beautiful reflection. And if you want to get scientific, eyes are an incredible feat of nature that have evolved to change and adapt to their environment over the millennia. Just watched a Cosmos show that talked about this very thing. And how somewhere down the line in humanity’s place on Earth, when the Sun starts to dim, our eyes will adapt to enlarge to let as much light in as possible. Pretty amazing. 🙂 ❤
